The Production Supervisor is responsible for protecting our core values and ensuring a safe and productive workplace.
ShiftThursday to Saturday and every other Wednesday - from 8 pm to 8:30 am.
Primary Responsibilities- Manage a production team of hourly employees across multiple lines, leading by example and ensuring compliance with company policies related to Health & Safety, Environmental Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Food Safety and Quality.
- Plan production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products, ensuring efficient use of materials, machines, and personnel for the shift.
- Lead by example to train, develop, and inspire production teams to establish a high‑performance culture, working coherently to “win” together.
- Maximize the efficiency on each line, collaborating with other departments (Engineering, Maintenance, R&D, Quality) to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Lead and drive root‑cause analysis to identify and eliminate issues, recommending solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Partner with temp agencies as the primary contact to review staffing requirements and shift staff accordingly.
- Review and approve employee hours through the payroll system (ADP); manage vacation requests and uphold company policy related to time off.
- Collaborate with the People & Values team on employee relations, assisting with investigations and following progressive coaching initiatives.
- Provide proactive Health & Safety leadership, ensuring behavior‑based observations are completed and incidents are reported promptly.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, food science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience within a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, safety, quality, and GMP regulations.
- 2+ years of experience in the food manufacturing field.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP systems.
- Excellent team‑building and management skills, capable of leading and coaching teams to achieve performance in quality, cost, and service metrics.
- Self‑starter with a high level of initiative and adaptability.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with mechanical aptitude.
- Demonstrates humility in day‑to‑day interactions.
