In this crucial role, you will be the backbone of the supply chain operations, ensuring the seamless movement and management of materials that are vital to production and order fulfillment.
As a Material Handler, your primary responsibility will be the precise and safe handling of materials and products. You will manage everything from receiving and unloading incoming shipments to storing materials correctly, picking parts for the production line, and preparing finished goods for outbound delivery. This position requires not just skill in operating material handling equipment, but also a keen eye for detail to maintain inventory accuracy and a strong commitment to safety protocols.
You will be an integral part of a collaborative team dedicated to operational excellence within a fast-paced manufacturing & logistics environment. This is a permanent, full-time position offering a consistent day shift schedule from Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities
Safely and efficiently load, unload, and transport materials throughout the warehouse and production facilities using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other handling equipment.
Receive all incoming materials, meticulously verifying quantities against purchase orders and packing slips.
Conduct thorough inspections of incoming goods for any damage, defects, or discrepancies and report issues promptly.
Accurately label, sort, and store materials in designated warehouse locations to ensure easy retrieval and optimal space utilization.
Deliver raw materials, components, and other necessary parts to various manufacturing areas according to production schedules and requests.
Stage, wrap, and prepare finished products for shipment, ensuring all items are correctly packed and documented.
Assist in loading outbound trucks, making sure all shipments are secure and match the shipping orders.
Maintain precise inventory records by using scanners and other systems to track all material movements in real-time.
Participate in regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to uphold inventory accuracy.
Adhere strictly to all company safety guidelines, workplace procedures, and health and safety regulations (OHSA).
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area to promote a safe and efficient working environment.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and production staff to coordinate material flow and resolve any issues.
Perform routine pre-operation safety checks on forklifts and other equipment, reporting any maintenance or repair needs immediately.
Qualifications
Proven proficiency in operating material handling equipment, particularly counterbalance forklifts and electric pallet jacks.
Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control principles, and supply chain processes within the manufacturing & logistics sector.
Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in counting, recording, and handling materials.
Solid organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Basic math and computer skills for recording inventory and reading work orders.
A proactive and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to identify and address operational issues.
Strong commitment to workplace safety and a proven record of following safety protocols.
Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and moving objects.
