This posting is for a potential future opportunity and is part of our talent pipeline.
We are seeking a motivated Production Supervisor to oversee and coordinate day‑shift operations at one of our manufacturing facilities. This role is responsible for leading a team of production employees, ensuring efficient workflow, meeting production targets, maintaining safe work practices, and upholding exceptional product quality.
The ideal candidate brings strong manufacturing experience, proven leadership skills, and knowledge of glass fabrication, metalworking, plastics or related heavy manufacturing industries.
Key Responsibilities Health & Safety Leadership- Enforce all health and safety policies while ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and employee engagements to promote a safe and proactive safety culture.
- Lead, manage, and motivate production staff to achieve daily and weekly production targets.
- Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to support employee growth and team effectiveness.
- Collaborate across departments to plan, organize, and prioritize production schedules aligned with customer needs and company objectives.
- Ensure products meet company standards and customer specifications; investigate defects or issues as needed.
- Partner with the maintenance team to ensure proper upkeep of machinery and equipment, coordinating repairs or adjustments when required.
- Identify and troubleshoot production issues to minimize downtime.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost‑effectiveness, applying lean manufacturing principles as appropriate.
- Assist with managing in‑process goods inventory to maintain efficient production flow and prevent shortages or excess.
- Maintain accurate production records and prepare daily production reports for senior leadership.
- Work closely with departments such as maintenance and shipping to ensure timely production and on‑time delivery of orders.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Post‑secondary education in manufacturing, engineering, industrial technology
, or a related field is an asset. - Minimum 2–4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; supervisory experience preferred but not required.
- Experience in glass fabrication, metalworking, plastics, or other heavy manufacturing industries is highly beneficial.
- Strong leadership and team‑management capabilities, with the ability to motivate and guide diverse teams.
- Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills to address operational challenges and production bottlenecks.
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations
, with a demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe workplace. - Basic knowledge of production equipment, machinery, and related software systems.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for interactions with teams, management, and cross‑functional departments.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift materials (up to 50 lbs) in a manufacturing environment.
Compensation: $65000.00 - $95,000.00 annually
