Hours:

35 to 40 hours/Week

Work Setting:
Manufacturing

Responsibilities
  • Reading and interpreting technical blueprints and design models for CNC programming
  • Design layouts and analyze drawings to determine dimensions and make manual program adjustments as necessary
  • Create simple 2D AutoCAD drawings for parts and convert 2D AutoCAD drawings into 3 Axis CNC toolpaths and convert 3D Parts into 3 Axis/5-Axis CNC toolpaths for production
  • Input the product design into computer modeling software and load the correct cutting tools for the job
  • Troubleshoot issues during the manufacturing process
  • Maintain and update a CNC tooling database and daily production logs
  • Complete quality control tests during the manufacturing stage and on the final product and ensure health and safety
Experience
  • 2 to 3 years of previous experience in the field or similar position
Education
  • College diploma in related field is required for this position
Skills
  • Fluent in English and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to supervise 1 to 2 people
  • General knowledge of woodworking, manufacturing engineering and experience programming (Master Cam, Solid Works, Alpha Cam, Pythagoras, Pegasus) and operating CNC Machinery (Bacci Artiste- 5 Axis CNC, Bacci- CNC Lathe, Biesse Rover

    B) is preferred
  • Effective interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, team player and accurate
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment, work under pressure and attention to details
  • Ability to provide written instructions to machine set-up and maintenance
