Job Responsibilities:
Immediate open positionQUALIFICATIONSGrade 12 education or equivalent
Certificate of qualification – Tool and Die Maker Good English (both written and verbal) communication skills
Must possess strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to determine root cause and recommend countermeasures
Knowledge of Progressive Die design / Function Must be a self-starter, able to work with minimum supervision on large Progressive Dies, Auto Transfer Dies, Hand Transfer Dies, Cut off Dies and Benders Ability to Machine components to tight Tolerances and high surface finish
Read and interpret documents such as blue prints, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, rations and proportions to practical situations
Must be available to work rotating shifts and overtime when required
Valid Crane Operator license
Knowledge of WHMIS/GHSDESIRABLE ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS(Optional) – Preferred but not required
Five years related experience and / or training in an automotive production environment
Mould Maker Certificate of qualification
Valid forklift license
Knowledge of CNC equipment and programming
Basic understanding of the computer
Ability to program operate sink / wire EDMFamiliar with CAD Modeling (Mastercam, Solid Works, ESPRIT. Inventor)
TIG welding experience
Automotive manufacturing experience MAIN TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES Wages: $37 - $40 per hour Support shift with completing open action items.
Production coverage / Change Over’s / Manufacturing Spares / Preventative Maintenance / C.I.’s/ Predictive Maintenance Carry out daily pre-start Crane and Toolroom inspection sheet
Maintain a clean and organized Toolroom / 5SEnsure clear communication of production related issues are passed onto all shifts and outstanding work is prioritized to be continued.
Maintain good communication with Supervisor and Team Leaders by way of verbal discussions and Email Inspects and troubleshoots new tools and progressive dies Operates Toolroom equipment effectively and safely
Assists in the tooling process as assigned while meeting the established customer requirements
Modify, repair and trouble shoot progressive dies while working to very close tolerances from blueprints, sketches and samples
Maintains documentation and preventive maintenance requirement of progressive dies Manages daily priorities for attainment of customer satisfaction, while also meeting production schedule commitments to achieve business objectives
Performs assigned tasks within given time frames and monitors/reports progress to the Tool and Die Team Leader or designate
