Production Extruder Technician; Plastic Extrusion

Position: Production Extruder Technician (Plastic Extrusion )
We are currently seeking an experienced Production Extruder Technician to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with plastic extrusion processes, machine setup, troubleshooting, quality control, and equipment maintenance. This role requires strong technical knowledge and the ability to optimize production efficiency while maintaining product quality.

Key Responsibilities   Set up and operate plastic extrusion machines according to production requirements
Start up, monitor, adjust, and shut down extrusion lines safely and efficiently
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and process related issues to minimize downtime
Monitor extrusion parameters including temperature, pressure, and line speed
Perform line purging, machine adjustments, and process optimization
Conduct quality inspections and identify product defects
Perform routine maintenance and coordinate repairs when necessary
Support current product trials and production line startups
Train and assist extrusion operators as required
Maintain accurate production and quality records
Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Qualifications   Minimum 2 years of plastic extrusion experience
Strong knowledge of extrusion machine setup and operation
Experience troubleshooting extrusion processes and equipment
Ability to read technical drawings, specifications, and production documents
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and quality standards
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Preferred   Technical or manufacturing education is an asset

Experience with profile or plastic extrusion manufacturing
Flexibility to work rotating shifts, overtime, and weekends when required
Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
