Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Place mattress springs on mattress building table.
Attach mattress components to springs and use fastener guns to bind the components.
Flip the mattress over and repeat previous step.
Temporarily attach border for tape edge operator.
Lifts bed and carries to tape-edge work station, puts mattress on stack at tape-edge line.
Performs duties in a safe and efficient manner.
Completes any necessary paperwork or production-related documentation in an accurate and timely manner as needed.
Sweep floors and maintain work area in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
Performs job duties in a safe and efficient manner and is responsible for basic machine maintenance and supplies at work station.
Cross trains as requested in order to efficiently produce, quantity and minimal scrap/waste standards as needed.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs at any time.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience and Education
Basic ability to read and write English.
Attention to detail a must.
Strong eye, hand coordination.
Ability to sort components in an efficient, fast-paced, and accurate manner.
Prior assembly or manufacturing experience.
This job requires operator to stand and walk.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, repetitively, in a safe manner.
Produce at level to maintain integrity of Make-To-Order system.
