Team Leader recycling

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Leader to oversee operations at our recycling facility for the afternoon shift from 2pm to 12 am from Monday to Thursday with lots of overtime.

Must be Fluent in Spanish and English languages.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily activities, ensuring safety and efficiency, and leading a team of workers in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical knowledge of heavy equipment, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of sanitation and operational excellence.

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of recycling team members to meet production goals
• Operate and oversee heavy machinery including loaders, excavators, and forklifts to facilitate material handling
• Ensure proper loading and unloading of recyclable materials using appropriate equipment
• Maintain safety protocols by enforcing proper use of safety gear and monitoring work areas for hazards
• Conduct routine cleaning and sanitation of work spaces to uphold health standards
• Train new team members on equipment operation, safety procedures, and company policies
• Perform regular inspections of equipment to ensure optimal functioning and coordinate maintenance as needed
• Lead by example in promoting teamwork, efficiency, and adherence to environmental regulations

• Proven experience with loader operation, excavator use, and forklift driving in a manufacturing or recycling setting
• Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation and safety procedures
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a physically demanding environment
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
• Good communication skills for effective coordination with team members and management
• Knowledge of sanitation practices relevant to manufacturing or recycling facilities
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining attention to detail
