Become a pivotal leader in the Factory of the Future transformation at Magna’s manufacturing division in Toronto. This role requires expertise in automation deployment and technical support.
As an Automation Lead, you'll be central to executing automation initiatives, coordinating internal and external teams, and aligning operations with advanced manufacturing standards. You will engage with automation vendors and internal stakeholders to drive effective solutions and remove barriers to implementation. Your leadership will ensure that automation technologies enhance operational performance and stability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead automation project execution and coordination
• Serve as liaison with vendors, integrators, and plant teams
• Ensure alignment with Factory of the Future standards
• Support system installation, troubleshooting, and integration
• Provide direction to mitigate execution risks
Requirements:
• 8+ years in industrial automation or manufacturing
• Strong PLC programming experience
• Proven automation deployment leadership
• Hands-on commissioning and troubleshooting skills
• Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments
