Technician Robotics

Responsabilités

• Troubleshoot, maintain and optimize robotic MIG welding systems, including power sources, wire feed systems, torches, reamers and peripheral equipment.
• Service and maintain welding equipment, including Lincoln, Miller and Fronius welding systems.
• Support weld quality improvements through robotic path optimization, weld parameter adjustments and equipment maintenance.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on robotic welding cells and associated equipment.
• Evaluate and improve processes for uptime and repeatability.
• Disassemble and reassemble robots or peripheral equipment to make repairs such as replacement of defective circuit boards, sensors, controllers, encoders and servomotors.
• Carry out preventative maintenance procedures as outlined by the manufacturer’s specifications.
• Evaluate downtime situations for root cause and suggest or implement improvements.
• Evaluate potential risks to similar processes and develop work orders and plans to resolve issues.
• Preventative maintenance on equipment – identify weaknesses in design and implement improvements.
• Take pride in workmanship and develop procedures to educate and train other team members through skilled work.
• Monitor progress of repair to ensure the problem is resolved.
• Participate in the development of team members through training and collaboration (Achieve Total Productive Maintenance).
• Monitor and participate in ensuring all Key Performance Indicators (Safety, Quality and Productivity) are achieved and assist with action plans to ensure success.
• Ensure all key information is captured and exchanged at shift change to support other shifts.
• Understand, promote and live by Magna’s philosophies and the Employee Charter.
• Be strong in troubleshooting repair and maintaining Fanuc, ABB and Motoman robots.
• Analyze and improve robot programs and moves to improve efficiency.
• Maintain issue list and identify the top three issues on equipment and processes at all times.
• Report status updates of the top three issues regularly.
• Maintain safety standards of equipment and work area and perform all duties in a safe manner in accordance with safety policies.
• Assist in developing and/or updating preventive maintenance procedures.
• Live up to agreement as maintenance technician and support cross‑functional repairs to equipment that includes Electrical, Mechanical, and tooling when done safely.
• Be literate in computer skills using Windows, MS Office and AutoCAD.

• Proven experience troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining industrial robots (Fanuc, ABB, Motoman).
• Experience with robotic MIG welding systems and related equipment.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures for robotic welding cells and peripheral equipment.
• Strong analytical skills to determine root causes of downtime and implement corrective actions.
• Commitment to safety and the ability to maintain a safe work environment.
• Proficiency with Windows, MS Office and AutoCAD.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of capturing and sharing key information during shift changes.
• Dedication to continuous improvement and training of teammates.

Annual Salary Range
: $80,000.00 – $85,000.00
