Position: Millwright Mechanic (Injection Molding – Automotive)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Millwright Mechanic with a strong background in automotive manufacturing and injection molding
. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on injection molding machines and related equipment
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues efficiently
  • Support production by responding to equipment breakdowns and minimizing downtime
  • Install, align, and commission machinery and equipment as required
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety standards and company policies
  • Work closely with production and engineering teams to improve equipment performance
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization
Required Qualifications
  • Valid Millwright / Industrial Mechanic License (433A preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive manufacturing
  • Hands-on experience with injection molding machines
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex machinery
  • Experience working in a high-volume production environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with robotics and automation systems (e.g., Fanuc, ABB)
  • Knowledge of PLC systems and basic electrical troubleshooting
  • Experience with mold changes and setup
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices
Work Environment
  • Fast-paced automotive manufacturing facility
  • Shift work may be required (days/afternoons/nights)
