This role offers a hands-on approach within our collaborative manufacturing shop.
The Brake Press Operator is essential for transforming metal sheets into precise components while ensuring safety and quality. You'll set up and operate various machines, including the hydraulic brake press and shear, while interpreting shop drawings. Commitment to continuous learning and integrity is crucial to succeed in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate hydraulic brake press and shear accurately
• Interpret shop drawings and calculate bend tolerances
• Cut, bend and measure sheet steel according to specifications
• Conduct daily maintenance and equipment inspections
• Follow quality control procedures for consistency
Requirements:
• Minimum of 3 years brake press experience
• Basic metal fabrication knowledge required
• Ability to follow verbal instructions
• Must complete a practical setup test
• Safety conscious in machine handling
