Responsibilities & Duties
Program and maintain SMT, Screen printers, AOI, SPI and Laser Marker.
Debug and Optimize SMT placement programs
Program AOI machine with acceptable coverage as a result
Troubleshoot any SMT Line Equipment and AOI related issues
Provide support to production in terms of SMT Line equipment issues
Provide continuous improvement on AOI Coverage for all products
Provide continuous improvement on SMT Line Equipment uptime
Participate on continuous improvement on SMT Line automation
Able to interpret IPC-A-610 standards for acceptability and customer specifications
Maintain records and files of circuit board assemblies
Maintain tooling records and files
Contact outside service personnel for technical assistance
Interact with engineering on new programs for production capabilities
Work with internal/external maintenance personnel and /or technical personnel to maintain an acceptable level of quality and productivity on SMT and AOI equipment
Completes all documentation and records as it relates to the set up function
Conduct and promote work in a safe and responsible manner and report any safety concerns to the supervisor, department manager or a member of the Environmental Health & Safety Committee.
Wear appropriate PPE and operate electric or manual equipment in a safe manner in accordance with standards and procedures
Upholds 5S standard for continuous improvement
Perform other duties as required
Skills
Interact with production, quality and maintenance employees to exchange technical information to facilitate teamwork in trouble shooting and repair process
Must be aware of relevance and importance of their activities and how it affects quality and the environment for our customers
Able to work independently with minimum supervision as well as in a team environment
Maintain work area and physical plant in a neat, clean and orderly condition
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 5 years’ experience in SMT manufacturing facilities working as a SMT programmer.
Skills of surface mount technology, component placement and soldering process.
Knowledge of Gerber file and SMT Components
Education
High school diploma or completion of 3-4 years apprenticeship program
Night Shift Position - 4:00 p.m.
- 12:30 a.m.
