We are currently seeking a hands‑on, team‑oriented Production Supervisor to join our manufacturing team in Vaughan. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader who thrives in a fast‑paced production environment and enjoys coaching teams, driving efficiency, and improving operations.
The successful candidate will oversee approximately 30 employees within the sewing department and play a key role in ensuring production targets, quality standards, safety requirements, and operational goals are achieved daily.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and support approximately 30 production employees in the sewing department
- Review and coordinate daily production schedules and staffing requirements
- Conduct daily team meetings and communicate production expectations
- Ensure production targets, GMP standards, quality requirements, and safety expectations are met
- Monitor KPIs including quality, safety, productivity, and scrap reduction
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions
- Support continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives
- Coach, mentor, and develop employees to strengthen team performance
- Assist with performance management and succession planning
- Act as a liaison between employees and management while supporting workplace changes
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or similar production environment
- Hands‑on leadership style with strong teamwork skills
- Experience working in a unionized environment is a strong asset
- Knowledge of CBA (Collective Bargaining Agreements)
- Experience using MRP/ERP systems
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices
- Strong problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Associate’s degree and/or equivalent experience required;
Bachelor’s degree preferred - Must pass a criminal background check
- Valid passport required
- Must live locally to the Vaughan area
