Job Overview
Fleming Baron (an ASSA ABLOY brand company) is adding an Order Detailer to our team. This will be an on‑site position based out of our manufacturing facility located in Woodbridge, Ontario.
Responsibilities- Create detailed manufacturing drawings by using templates, engineering guidelines, and sketches according to manufacturing requirements using AutoCAD‑based systems.
- Manage the Door Group's shared drawing and template database.
- Provide technical and problem‑solving support to Customer Service and Manufacturing.
- Interpret hardware templates and prepare detailed drawings for manufacturing requirements.
- Work directly with customers to resolve template and drawing issues to maximize production efficiency and accuracy.
- Accurately determine all custom product components required for shop drawings.
- Define and maintain hardware preparation requirements.
- Create layouts, details, and BOM for release to manufacturing.
- Use document management and ERP systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and tolerances.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Promote a safe and harmonious working environment, demonstrating strict adherence to the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct and Health & Safety Policy.
- Diploma in Mechanical or Architectural Technology preferred.
- 5+ years of drafting/detailing experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience with AutoCAD.
- Previous exposure or experience with templates and drawings as a designer or drafter within the architectural hardware industry and/or building products strongly preferred.
- Experience or exposure in order processing is helpful.
- Demonstrated intermediate‑level math skills with proficiency in Algebra, Trigonometry, and Geometry.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent problem‑solving, organizational, follow‑up, and high comfort level balancing multiple priorities or projects simultaneously.
- Ability to understand process flows and procedures, interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, and manufacturer materials.
$55,000 - $78,000 depending on experience.
