Key Accountabilities - Metal Plate Saw Operator

  • Operate metal plate saw equipment safely and efficiently to meet production, quality, and delivery requirements.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment.
  • Pull, inspect, and verify material prior to processing.
  • Review and process work orders and setup notes according to customer specifications.
  • Perform in-process quality checks, record measurements, and verify product compliance with specifications.
  • Communicate order discrepancies or clarification needs with Sales and Production teams.
  • Properly identify, tag, weigh, and track materials throughout the production process.
  • Identify, segregate, and report scrap or non-conforming material.
  • Perform routine equipment inspections and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Complete production records, productivity logs, and other required documentation accurately.
  • Assist with packaging, shipping preparation, and general housekeeping activities.
  • Provide feedback on machine performance, product quality, and process improvement opportunities.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Train and assist team members as required.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and comply with all company health, safety, and quality procedures.

Qualifications
  • Experience in the metal industry is required.
  • Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred.
  • Ability to read measuring instruments and follow written work instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail, quality, and safety.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Shift

Day Shift, Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
