One of our manufacturing clients is seeking a CNC Supervisor for their manufacturing facility located in GTA region.
Shift - Afternoon Pay - $32 to $35/hrKey Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate daily CNC production activities on the afternoon shift to achieve production schedules, quality standards, and operational goals.
- Operate CNC machines and perform machine setup, programming, adjustments, and troubleshooting as required.
- Provide hands-on leadership, technical guidance, and support to CNC operators and production staff.
- Monitor machine performance, workflow, and production output to maximize efficiency, productivity, and on-time delivery.
- Train, mentor, and coach team members on CNC operations, programming, quality standards, and safe work practices.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety regulations, and standard operating procedures.
- Identify and resolve production, equipment, and quality issues to minimize downtime and maintain workflow.
- Perform quality inspections to ensure components meet engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Coordinate labour allocation, machine utilization, and production priorities to optimize manufacturing operations.
- Maintain accurate production reports and communicate shift performance, downtime, and operational updates to management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and process efficiency.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable team environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in Machining, Manufacturing Technology, CNC Programming, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field is an asset.
- Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience, including machine setup, operation, programming, and troubleshooting.
- Previous experience as a Supervisor, Lead Hand, or Team Lead in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Certification as a CNC Machinist, General Machinist, or equivalent skilled trade is considered an asset.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming, tooling, machine setup, and CAD/CAM software.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.
- Working knowledge of quality control procedures, inspection techniques, and manufacturing best practices.
- Health & Safety training such as WHMIS, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), or Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) is an asset.
- Leadership or supervisory training with excellent communication, problem-solving, and team management skills is preferred.
