Agilus by Synergie is recruiting for a CNC Programmer in the Construction industry in Concord, Ontario.
The CNC Programmer is responsible for programming, setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery used in the fabrication of aluminum extrusion profiles and related components. This role ensures that products are manufactured accurately, efficiently, and safely while meeting quality standards, production schedules, and customer specifications. The CNC Programmer works closely with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to optimize machining processes and continuously improve manufacturing efficiency.
A typical day:
- Develop and optimize CNC programs for aluminum extrusion components using CAD/CAM software.
- Set up and operate CNC machines, tooling, fixtures, and work-holding devices, including first-off inspections and program adjustments.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and create/revise shop drawings as required.
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, programming, and equipment issues while ensuring product quality and dimensional accuracy.
- Drive process improvements through tooling recommendations, machine optimization, preventative maintenance, and lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Maintain production records and collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to resolve manufacturing and operational challenges.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, customer requirements, and health & safety regulations.
- Train or assist other operators on CNC equipment and programming procedures when required
Successful candidates will have:
- College Diploma or Certificate in CNC Programming, Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related discipline is preferred
- Minimum two (2) years of CNC programming and machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience machining aluminum extrusion profiles is considered a strong asset.
- Experience with multi-axis CNC machining centres is preferred
