As a Shipper/Receiver in this role, you will be the backbone of the branch's operations. Your day will be active and varied, from managing the flow of goods in the warehouse to interacting directly with customers and suppliers. You will be responsible for the entire shipping and receiving cycle, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and safety at every step. This position requires a proactive individual who is comfortable operating a counterbalance forklift and has excellent computer skills to manage inventory and communications effectively.

This role is a crucial component of our client's manufacturing & logistics operations, ensuring that the right products get to the right place at the right time. Your work will involve not only in-house duties but also visiting customer sites, making you a key ambassador for the company. Responsibilities

• Perform all shipping and receiving duties, including the accurate verification, inspection, and documentation of incoming and outgoing shipments.

• Unload materials from trucks, which may include items such as drums of oil, tires, and various industrial safety products.

• Operate a sit-down counterbalance (CB) forklift safely and efficiently to move, convey, and hoist shipments (training can be provided for the right candidate).

• Manage inventory tasks with precision, including cycle counts, stock organization, and maintaining accurate records using company computer systems.

• Travel to customer and supplier locations to provide on-site support, which may include managing industrial supply vending machines and utilizing RFID technology.

• Prepare and process all necessary shipping documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders, to route materials correctly.

• Pack, seal, and label materials to prepare them for shipping, ensuring all packages are secure and compliant with specifications.
