Lathe Machinist

Job Type: Permanent/ Full Time
Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:15am - 3:45pm
Compensation: Based on Experience, Company Benefits, Bonus

• Read and interpret blueprints to ensure parts are being made according to specifications
• Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers, depth micrometers, inside diameter gauges, and outside diameter gauges
• Select the appropriate tools and materials to be used in preparation of machinery work
• Set up and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machine
• Work from sketches, verbal, and print information in order to produce projects according to specifications
• Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as manual mills/lathes, drill press, sanders, grinders, and other support equipment to perform precision machining operations
• Work in a safe manner in accordance with legislated and company health and safety standards
• Other duties assigned

• Minimum 3-5 years of machining experience
• Demonstrated Ability to Utilize Measuring Equipment in support of Quality Requirements
• Ability to Read and Interpret Blueprints and Sketches
• Ability to hold tight machining tolerances (1/2 thou)
• Ability to Understand various Tooling Technology
• Must possess strong attention to detail
