Lathe Machinist

Monday - Friday, 7:15am - 3:45pm
Compensation:  Based on Experience, Company Benefits, Bonus

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints to ensure parts are being made according to specifications

Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers, depth micrometers, inside diameter gauges, and outside diameter gauges

Select the appropriate tools and materials to be used in preparation of machinery work

Set up and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machine

Work from sketches, verbal, and print information in order to produce projects according to specifications

Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as manual mills/lathes, drill press, sanders, grinders, and other support equipment to perform precision machining operations

Work in a safe manner in accordance with legislated and company health and safety standards

Other duties assigned

Requirements

Minimum 3-5 years of machining experience

Demonstrated Ability to Utilize Measuring Equipment in support of Quality Requirements

Ability to Read and Interpret Blueprints and Sketches

Ability to hold tight machining tolerances (1/2 thou)

Ability to Understand various Tooling Technology

Must possess strong attention to detail
