Advanced practice nurse with knowledge and skills gained through additional education and experience. The nurse blends an in-depth knowledge of nursing with the legal authority and autonomy to order diagnostic tests, prescribe pharmaceuticals, and perform specific procedures in the management and treatment of common acute illnesses and stable chronic conditions. Practices within a framework of evidence-based primary care, holism, health promotion, and disease and injury prevention.

Involves building partnerships with individuals, families, and communities; conducting community needs assessments; supporting inter‑professional collaboration; and participating in continuous improvement through evaluative processes/projects. Provides clinical assessment and treatment strategies reflecting in-depth knowledge of the care populations.

• Three (3) years full‑time experience as a Registered Nurse
• Master of Nursing – Nurse Practitioner (MN‑NP)
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license
• Basic Cardiac Life Support Level C Certificate (BCLS)
• Superior interpersonal, communication, and writing skills
• Proactive and creative decision‑making abilities
• Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access)
