As a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) at Age Care, you'll collaborate closely with Registered Nurses and contribute to the care of residents in a long-term care setting. You will implement policies, liaise with healthcare professionals, and ensure effective communication within the care team to meet residents’ needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement Age Care policies and procedures on the unit
• Liaise with physicians and external health care partners
• Ensure residents’ care needs are consistently met
• Provide direction to Personal Support Workers
• Participate in shift reports with healthcare team members
Requirements:
• Knowledge in geriatric and rehabilitation nursing
• Familiarity with relevant healthcare legislation and standards
• Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Commitment to providing high-quality resident care
