Advance your nursing career with Medavie Health Services West as an Emergency Communication Nurse. This casual role involves telephone-based triage and patient support in Saskatchewan and Alberta.
As part of the Medavie Health Services team, you will provide essential care for lower acuity patients through timely and effective triage. Utilizing your nursing skills and decision-making abilities, you will offer referrals and guidance to callers in non-emergent situations.
Your role requires strong communication and analytical skills, along with proficiency in evidence-based clinical guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide clinical advice and referrals via telephone
• Assess patient needs and formulate care plans
• Communicate professionally with callers
• Document relevant clinical notes accurately
• Collaborate with medical teams for patient care
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in nursing
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification
• Minimum two years nursing experience
• Registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan
• Strong assessment and communication skills
