Join Extendicare as a part-time Registered Nurse responsible for delivering exceptional resident care and medication management. Support elderly residents while upholding regulatory standards and wellness procedures.
Extendicare seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse to ensure residents receive quality care. Collaborate with the Director of Care to maintain care assessments and service plans while supporting medication administration and education for residents and families.
Your role will focus on delivering personalized care, managing emergencies, and supervising care providers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct residents' care assessments and update service plans
• Administer medications safely following Extendicare policies
• Coordinate care conferences and facilitate resident transfers
• Supervise medication audits and self-medication assessments
• Manage resident care assignments for nursing staff
Requirements:
• Registered Nurse license in the applicable Province/State
• Experience with seniors and care providers
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
• Current Vulnerable Position/Sector Screening
