About the job Quality Control Technician

We are looking for an intermediate QC inspector for our metal manufacturing client in Concord, ON.

• Ability to use calipers, micrometers, and other common instruments
• Basic ability to read and interpret blueprints/drawings and specifications
• Inspect parts to an established inspection test plan or sampling lot>
• Identify and report non-conformances using documented procedures
• Knowledge of common mathematical concepts
• Knowledge and understanding of basic quality terms, definitions and concepts
• Basic understanding of measurement/metrology terminology and applications
• Basic computer literacy

Preferred Qualifications (Helpful, but not required):

• 2 years working in a fast paced production/manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of ISO Quality Management Systems
• Knowledge of calibration requirements/procedures
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
• First Article Inspection Reporting/PPAP-PSW Submissions
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software suite
• Understanding of effective sampling (AQL, RQL)
• Internal Auditing experience

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Can push, pull, or lift a minimum of 35lbs
