QA Specialist / Manager, Quality Engineering
Salary Range: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 annually
PLEASE NOTE: This position operates on a split‑shift schedule, providing coverage across both our day and afternoon operations. The successful candidate will be expected to work hours that overlap with each shift to help support workflow continuity, communication between teams, and operational needs throughout the day.
THE OPPORTUNITYBVGlazing Systems currently has an opportunity for a Quality Lead in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This position, reporting to the Director of Quality Assurance, is responsible for monitoring production processes to ensure the product meets established quality guidelines.

ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Develop and implement quality control methodologies to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards and guidelines.
- Conduct tests and inspections of products and processes to identify defects and areas for improvement.
- Analyze data to determine root causes of defects and implement corrective actions.
- Work closely with cross‑functional teams including design, drafting breakdown, production, and field to ensure quality standards are met.
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of quality processes, inspection results and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Report deviations from specifications and tolerance, reject and identify defective parts, and notify department manager.
- Reject defective parts and identify defect type on applicable part/container/inspection tag.
- Distribute and communicate Quality Alerts and training to appropriate personnel as required.
- Work closely with personnel from various departments to ensure that any issues are appropriately communicated, contained and resolved.
- All other duties as required.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must use a computer to input and receive data and will use various measurement tools including but not limited to Vernier, calipers, tape measure, low‑E detector, digital protractor.
- Must be flexible in hours to overlap shifts or be available for alternate shifts.
- Minimum 2 years of experience.
- College diploma in industrial engineering or manufacturing.
- IGU inspection and/or installation experience.
- Result oriented, thoroughness and attention to detail.
- Computer literacy, working knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Health and Safety knowledge preferred.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Ability to read fabrication drawings.
