We are currently seeking a Produce Quality Control Inspector to join our Voila Customer Fulfillment Centre (CFC) in Vaughan.

Key Responsibilities

Inspect inbound produce according to established specifications, quality standards, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Evaluate product quality through sampling and defect identification, including assessments of appearance, condition, maturity, and shelf life potential

Verify product attributes such as weight, temperature, size, firmness, soluble solids (refractometer testing), packaging integrity, and pallet condition

Identify and communicate superior product quality opportunities to Replenishment and Category Management teams

Reject, document, and communicate product that does not meet established quality standards

Complete daily inventory quality inspections and recommend actions for aging or declining product

Monitor produce handling, storage practices, and cold chain compliance throughout the CFC

Verify calibration and proper operation of quality testing equipment

Coordinate and facilitate government inspections and regulatory sampling requirements

Accurately document inspection results and communicate findings to internal stakeholders

What You Have to Offer

Experience in retail produce, produce growing, wholesale produce operations, produce inspection, or a related quality assurance role

Strong knowledge of fresh produce quality standards, defects, maturity indicators, and handling requirements

Understanding of food safety programs, regulatory requirements, and cold chain management

Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments

Strong attention to detail and ability to make objective quality assessments

Ability to prioritize competing demands and perform effectively in a fast‑paced environment

Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Proficiency with documentation, reporting, and quality control processes
