We are currently hiring a Quality Assurance Technician for a leading food production company in Concord, ON. The successful candidate will support food safety and quality programs to ensure products meet regulatory, customer, and company standards.

Location: Concord, ON
Pay Rate: $20.00per hour + 4% Vacation Pay
Job Type: Full-Time
Shift: Rotational Shifts

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and enforce QA/QC programs within the production facility.
  • Conduct product inspections during processing.
  • Collect product and environmental samples for microbiological testing.
  • Monitor production processes and verify compliance with customer specifications.
  • Perform regular process line testing and equipment verification.
  • Ensure staff adherence to GMP, HACCP, and food safety procedures.
  • Complete data entry, record keeping, and QA documentation.
  • Assist with sanitation monitoring and janitorial compliance.
  • Support employee food safety and quality training initiatives.
  • Investigate product quality concerns, foreign material complaints, and food safety issues.
  • Conduct product specification and compliance checks.
  • Assist in the continuous improvement of quality and food safety programs.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Food Safety within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Science, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, SQF, GMPs, SOPs, and SSOPs.
  • Experience with food safety documentation and quality systems.
  • Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs) is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • Ability to travel to the USA for training, if required.

  • Refrigerated food production environment (cold/wet conditions).
  • Fast-paced manufacturing setting.
  • Standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 45 lbs.
