Lead Archaeologist at WSP

As the Lead Archaeologist, you will steer complex archaeological assessments under the Ontario Heritage Act and contribute to culturally responsible project delivery. Your vast experience in multi-phase field programs and capability in technical strategies will be essential as you mentor team members and maintain client relationships. Attend to heritage stewardship while shaping innovative project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee archaeological assessments meeting regulatory requirements
• Develop excavation designs and mitigation plans
• Maintain relationships with Indigenous communities
• Mentor archaeology team members for skills development
• Guide business development through technical proposals
Requirements:
• 15+ years of archaeological experience
• Degree in archaeology or related field
• Professional license with the Ministry of Citizenship and Multiculturalism
• Knowledge of relevant legislative frameworks
• Valid driver's license and good driving record
