Security Supervisor - Industrial Site

Vaughan, Ontario
Type: Full Time
Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour
Schedule:
7 AM - 3 PM, Monday - Friday, Day Shift
Responsibilities
Supervise and direct assigned security personnel to ensure proper coverage, compliance with post orders, and professional conduct.
Conduct regular patrols of the industrial facility, perimeter, parking areas, and restricted zones to detect and deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor CCTV, access control systems, alarm panels, and other security technology, ensuring appropriate response to alerts and incidents.
Enforce access control procedures by verifying credentials, managing visitor access, and ensuring gates, doors, and secured areas remain protected.
Act as the primary on-site point of contact during assigned shifts.
Provide leadership and guidance to security staff during incidents, ensuring proper escalation.
Prepare, review, and approve detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and shift handover documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Conduct inspections of security equipment, emergency response tools, and site infrastructure, reporting deficiencies and coordinating corrective actions.
Liaise with client representatives, contractors, and law enforcement as required to support site security objectives.
Identify security risks, safety hazards, and procedural gaps, recommending improvements to enhance site security and operational efficiency.
Assist with onboarding, training, and mentoring of new security personnel, ensuring understanding of site‑specific procedures.
Perform hands‑on security duties as required to support operational needs, including covering shifts or access control posts.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of Security Supervisory experience, preferred.
Familiarity with access control systems, alarm monitoring, and CCTV operations.
Strong report writing, documentation, and communication skills.
Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
Must be eligible to work in Canada up to 40 hours per week.
Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and respond effectively to emergency situations.
Knowledge of using a computer is preferred.
Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
High school diploma or equivalent (GED or equivalent work experience).
