Become a Knowledge Keeper with Wiikwemkoong Child and Family Services. This role focuses on delivering culturally appropriate support and ceremonies to families within the community.
Seeking five dedicated individuals for the Knowledge Keeper position in Cultural Services. You will report to the Cultural Services Supervisor while ensuring that services incorporate Anishnaabe values.
Your role includes integrating cultural ceremonies into service delivery while supporting staff and community members effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure culturally appropriate service offerings for families
• Integrate cultural practices into client Wellness Plans
• Provide cultural teachings and ceremonies for all ages
• Promote Anishinaabe values through daily activities
• Keep accurate records of all program interactions
Requirements:
• Diploma in Social Services or relevant field
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in cultural programming
• Experience with First Nation communities is crucial
• Ability to facilitate cultural ceremonies required
• Knowledge of Anishinaabemowin is a plus
