CRH Canada is hiring a Software Engineer Contract 12 Months - Concord, Ontario!

This position involves working for all product lines CRH Canada (cement, aggregates, and concrete). The person is responsible for concrete model programming and data communication under CRH innovation. This position also contributes to developing sustainable product solutions and technologies for all business units.

• Design, develop and maintain software solutions for cement and concrete models
• Implement algorithms for simulation, prediction and optimization of material performance
• Ensure code quality, scalability and performance for computational needs
• Troubleshoot and debug software issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical goals, ensure seamless integrations and maintain robust system performance

• Software Engineering or Computer Science degree
• 4th-year students with strong internship experience
• 1-2 years professional experience or 3+ internships (preferably at technology/research company) doing web development or general software development experience
• Experience with Typescript, React.
  
  JS, and preferably NextJS
• Experience with serverless technologies (Vercel, serverless databases, upstash, etc.)
• Experience working with Git (version control)
• Experience working with CSS
• Experience with responsible web design for mobile/tablet viewable websites
• Experience with python (for data analysis tasks)
• Experience working in research environment
• Experience with cloud technologies (AWS/GCP/Azure)
• Experience writing tests and working with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git Hub actions
