Engineering Full Time Canada $80,000 - $95,000 CAD per year

As a key member of our Engineering team, you’ll play a critical role in maintaining the quality and usability of our software through strategic testing and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

We’re looking for a talented
Senior QA Engineer with experience in AI, test automation, and quality engineering who thrives in fast-paced environments, loves digging into details, and is passionate about delivering reliable, high-performing products. If you enjoy building automated test solutions, identifying defects early, leveraging AI to improve testing, and ensuring every release meets the highest quality standards before it reaches customers, this role is for you.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and execute test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures that ensure product quality and performance.
  • Develop automated functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end tests.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Git Hub Actions, or Azure Dev Ops.
  • Use AI powered tools to generate automated test cases, optimize automation test suites, identify gaps in test coverage, assess QA automation needs for projects, estimate automation effort.
  • Identify, reproduce, and report software bugs and usability issues with clear, concise documentation.
  • Analyze test results and collaborate with developers to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
  • Design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks for web, mobile, and API applications.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Collaborate closely with product and development teams to refine features and ensure test coverage.
  • Use tools like Postman for API testing and SQL for data verification to support testing workflows.
  • Drive continuous improvement across QA and engineering, while promoting automation best practices.
  • Support other assigned tasks as needed in a dynamic startup environment.
Key

Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experience in software QA testing and automation, ideally within a SaaS or tech startup environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or Appium.
  • Experience using Git and Azure Dev Ops for source control, test automation integration, pipeline execution, and collaboration within Agile development teams.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test management software, and debugging tools.
  • Experience with Agile development processes and a Continuous Improvement mindset.
  • Knowledge of SQL and database validation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple testing streams simultaneously.
  • Empathetic and collaborative—ready to work as part of a high-performing team.

AI Skills
  • Experience using AI coding assistants such as Git Hub Copilot, Codex, Claude, or Gemini.
  • Ability to use AI to generate test cases, test data, and automation scripts.
  • Understanding of prompt engineering for testing scenarios.
