Position Title: Delivery Coordinator
Location: Vaughan, ON (Onsite)
Pay Rate: $18-20 per hour
Employment Type: Full-Time Contract (Minimum 4–5 Months, with Potential Extension)
Schedule: Monday to Saturday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Position OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Delivery Coordinator to support daily delivery operations and ensure efficient route management for customer deliveries. The successful candidate will coordinate with drivers, carriers, stores, and internal teams to ensure deliveries are completed on time while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment, enjoys problem-solving, and can effectively manage multiple priorities throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and manage daily delivery schedules and routes to ensure timely service.
- Monitor delivery activities using internal delivery management systems and tracking tools.
- Communicate with drivers, carriers, stores, and customers regarding delivery updates and scheduling changes.
- Audit daily delivery loads and manage last-minute additions or adjustments to delivery routes.
- Track delivery performance and proactively address delays, service issues, or route concerns.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for delivery-related inquiries and escalations.
- Collaborate with operations teams to ensure deliveries are completed according to service standards.
- Prioritize customer orders and coordinate resources to meet delivery commitments.
- Ensure delivery documentation and records are maintained accurately.
- Assist with returns coordination and resolution of delivery discrepancies.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, route planning, and customer service.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and operational guidelines.
- Support continuous communication between stores, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
- Previous experience in logistics, transportation, dispatching, delivery coordination, customer service, or operations is preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage changing priorities.
- Strong problem‑solving and customer service skills.
- Comfortable using computer systems, Microsoft Office, and delivery management software.
- Ability to build positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience in route planning, dispatching, or delivery operations.
- Knowledge of logistics and transportation processes.
- Experience working with delivery management systems or tracking software.
- Ability to analyze operational issues and recommend improvements.
Contract Duration: Minimum 4–5 months, with possibility of extension based on business requirements and performance.
