Logistics Transportation Coordinator

Coordinate transportation and customer orders for Serta Simmons Bedding, balancing computer-based logistics work with plant-floor activity. Accuracy, scheduling, and service guide daily decisions.
As a Logistics Coordinator, you will manage shipping and receiving workflows for internal and external customers. The work includes dispatching freight, coordinating pickups, monitoring delivery schedules, and preparing documentation. You will also address damages, shortages, delays, and quality-control concerns while communicating with carriers, vendors, drivers, and teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan transportation and coordinate timely customer order flow
Dispatch freight, arrange pickups, and schedule vendor appointments
Complete shipping documents, logs, reports, and shipment records
Resolve damages, shortages, delays, and shipping errors
Direct dock traffic and forklift offload sequences
Requirements:
High school graduation or equivalent
At least one year of related experience
Computer proficiency for logistics documentation
Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database software
Prior logistics or customer service experience preferred
Use transportation coordination, documentation, and customer service skills supporting Serta Simmons Bedding’s warehouse operations and iconic brands.
