The Warehouse Associate – Operations Support adds value to our Customers and Co-Workers by being responsible for or supporting daily warehouse operations to ensure the accurate, efficient, and timely movement of products throughout the facility. This role assists with receiving, order picking, packing, shipping, inventory control, and general warehouse organization while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards. The position plays a key role in supporting operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and the overall success of the distribution center.
PrimaryDuties and Responsibilities
Ensure all duties and responsibilities are completed as per Standard Operating Procedures.
- Support daily warehouse and inventory control operations to ensure smooth workflow across departments
- Action operational and inventory-related inquiries in a timely manner
- Coordinate and prioritize operational tasks to support productivity targets
- Support order fulfillment, replenishment, returns processing, and inventory-related activities
- Assist with operational coverage and labour coordination as required
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
- Process inventory adjustments and maintain inventory integrity
- Support cycle counts, audits, and inventory verification processes
- Monitor virtual locations, replenishment, and slotting accuracy
- Ensure inventory transactions are accurately completed within ERP/WMS systems
- Identify and elevate recurring inventory or operational concerns
- Print location stickers as needed for Galcat and other branches
- Basic math functions
- Basic computer skills including Excel, Word, and Email.
- Basic English reading and writing skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- A positive attitude with the ability to work well in a team environment by showing the character qualities listed above
- Previous warehouse experience an asset
- RF scanner experience required
- High School or equivalent education
- MHE Certification required or the ability to obtain within three months of employment. On-site training will be provided if required by the position
- This position involves standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods
- Position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance
- Position requires the ability to follow repetitive processes
