Position: Analyst I – Warehouse Lead Hand – STRAIGHT DAY

SUMMARY This position is responsible for all aspects as it relates to overseeing shift personnel as well as facilitate the transfer of finish goods from the warehouse into customer shipments ensuring quality and accuracy throughout the process. Assist in developing a culture of continuous improvement for safety, employee engagement and retention, quality and production – the drive to continually get better. Able and willing to learn, promote, and deploy all safety, HR, quality, and operational policies and procedures.

Must be able to develop, train, and maintain our best people for the department.

************** Salary Range: $69,120 to $95,040 (inclusive of bonus opportunities)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES May include, but are not limited to, the following:

Health, Safety and Environment Demonstrates a personal commitment to and ownership of the HSE policies by leading by example and being knowledgeable in safety policies

Creates an environment of openness, trust, and mutual respect which allows employees to excel in HSE performance

Clearly communicates HSE policies and expectations on a regular basis and holds direct reports accountable for meeting expectations

Manages HSE expectations by frequent warehouse safety observations, by identifying and correcting workplace hazards, and by coaching employees through one-on-one contacts

Ensures safety procedures are being followed when operating forklifts and other machinery

Maintains a safe working environment in the warehouse area for all employees and forklifts

Assures that working safely is truly a condition of employment

Supports and adheres to Westlake HSE initiatives such as Westlake Life Critical Rules, Safe Start, and STAR Facilitates training for employees on safety rules, regulations, and procedures

Provides appropriate injury response and case management for employees and leads or participates in accident investigations

Utilizing formal corrective action along with recognition and rewards to produce desired behaviors

Warehouse

Assist Warehouse Department in the day to operation of the department

Aid in the warehousing of finish goods, inventory management, order picking and shipping of products as required

Organizing and planning to ensure the warehouse runs efficiently

First point of contact for warehouse team members

Ensuring 100% adherence to quality and accuracy

Ensure Health and Safety guidelines are practices and followed

Delegate responsibilities and give direction to warehouse team members

Participation in decision making processes involving warehouse issues such as labour planning and warehouse priorities

Train & delegate responsibility to employees involved in the warehouse department

Ensure that the employee productivity (effectiveness & efficiency) is at optimal level

Ensures that all orders are processed as efficiently as possible on the date specified, including follow up with the assigned carrier to ensure proper equipment is available on day of loading.

Prepare all necessary warehouse documents after verifying the picking slip with the checker.

Must be able to prepare Bill of Lading for all outgoing shipments when necessary.

Must participate in mid and year-end inventory count.

Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma required. College degree or Associates degree in a related field preferred.

Minimum of two years of experience in manufacturing environment.

Must be able to work, Monday to Friday, from 5:45am to 2:15pm (Straight Day Shift).Must have forklift certification.

Must be a strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills

Must have excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities

Must be attentive to detail and have excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
