Scope of the Position

The Warehouse Manager will oversee and coordinate daily warehousing activities, implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards to achieve appropriate volume within time limits. The Manager must possess excellent communication skills, diligently follow up with direct reports, and conduct daily walk‑rounds to identify and initiate corrective actions for safety hazards as needed. The goal is to ensure daily operations meet and exceed performance expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing operational and personnel policies and procedures.
  • Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in shipping, receiving, identifying, dispatching, and assuring quality of goods.
  • Measure and provide feedback on the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee performance.
  • Ensure shipments and inventory transactions are accurate and maintained.
  • Determine staffing levels and assign workload.
  • Assist internal customers by answering questions or solving problems.
  • Communicate job expectations and coach employees.
  • Ensure new and current employees receive proper training on all equipment.
  • Maintain all records for the warehouse, including training, maintenance, and pre‑starts.
  • Ensure equipment is in good working order, lock/tag out when needed, and call for service as necessary.
  • Conduct daily meetings to discuss priorities, safety issues, and encourage staff feedback.
  • Interface with customers to answer questions or solve problems.
  • Identify improvement areas and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices.
  • Maintain a clean, organized warehouse and assist in keeping security and safety.
  • Ensure the warehouse is set up efficiently to support optimal workflow and inventory locations.
  • Report incidents and health and safety issues in a timely manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
  • 2‑5 years’ experience working in a warehouse.
  • 1 year of Wire & Cable Product knowledge is required.
  • Ability to map out a warehouse.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations.
  • Responsible and extremely reliable.
  • Completion of high school.
  • Proven warehouse supervisory experience.
  • Highly effective supervisory skills and techniques.
  • Knowledge of warehouse software packages and proficiency in MS Office.
  • Ability to input, retrieve, and analyze data.
  • Hands‑on commitment to getting the job done.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
