Job SummaryWe are looking for a motivated Sales Engineer to serve as a key link between technical expertise and commercial success. The role encompasses supporting the entire sales process from identifying customer needs to developing tailored concepts and ensuring a smooth handover to project execution.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Sales Manager and Sales Engineers during the pre‑contract phase to identify and analyse customer needs, translating them into a successful sales concept and ensuring a successful project sale.
- Provide solutions to complex technical and business issues, particularly through data and process analyses and concept development during the offer phase.
- Lead and coordinate the development of concepts and quotations within the team, ensuring the creation of a competitive and high‑quality quotation.
- Convert Material Flow Diagrams into layouts in cooperation with a Sales Layout Engineer and translate layouts into detailed pricing specifications.
- Manage pricing specifications for multiple projects and set up technical specifications for procurement items.
- Participate in the handover phase to operations and the project implementation phase on‑site, ensuring smooth transition and implementation.
- Prepare quotations and compliance lists and act as an expert on key‑account‑specific requirements.
- Completed degree in mechanical engineering, logistics or a comparable field of study.
- First experience with complex sales processes, ideally within the automated material handling industry or a related industry and a focus on carbon‑footprint measurement and reduction strategies.
- Strong analytical skills – able to create concept solutions based on analysis and understanding of customers’ logistics processes.
- Well‑developed influencing skills, both internal and external.
- Strong communicational skills and a creative, efficient approach to building professional client relationships.
- Experience working within an international professional environment, preferably a project‑driven organization.
- Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written.
- Willingness to travel up to 30%.
- Salary: €4,300 to €4,900 gross per month (full‑time).
- Annual holiday allowance of 8% (paid annually).
- 40 vacation days per year (20 statutory + 20 flexible).
