Integration Manager Integrate automation systems behind global distribution operations.

Your role As Integration Manager in the Distribution domain, you play the key role in large‑scale parcel and e‑commerce automation projects for customers such as Amazon, DHL, Fed Ex, UPS and DPD. You bring complex automation, controls and IT systems together and ensure they work as one, from functional design through integration, testing and handover. You own the system at a functional level, managing technical risk and readiness so high‑throughput parcel operations can go live smoothly, with travel typically 25% during engineering phases and up to 50–100% on site during integration, testing and ramp‑up, depending on the project phase.
What you will do   Design the functional system setup, translating customer requirements into integrated, testable solutions.
Lead system integration and testing activities, covering factory tests, on‑site testing, ramp‑up and handover.
Define test strategies, plans and acceptance criteria that ensure traceability between requirements, design and validation.
Identify and reduce technical and operational risks in high‑throughput, mission‑critical parcel environments.
Align multiple subsystems, suppliers and disciplines into one working solution within the customer’s IT and controls landscape.
Report clearly on integration status, risks and progress to customers and project stakeholders.
Your team  You work within the Distribution Global Operations Integration team, part of Global Execution. You collaborate closely with Project Managers, Solution Architects, Integration Engineers and customer teams, often in international, multidisciplinary project environments.
What you bring   Essential:  A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering, Industrial Automation, Logistics, or a related field.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in system integration or PLC‑controlled automation environments, ideally in automated material handling systems, with strong understanding of OT integration with enterprise IT systems.
Strong understanding of parcel logistics and distribution processes, preferably in environments such as Amazon, DHL, Fed Ex, UPS, Posten Norge, or DPD.
Proven experience applying systems engineering and V‑model testing methodologies, including requirements traceability, verification, and validation.
Understanding of systems engineering principles, including verification, validation and requirement traceability.
Ability to coordinate across customers, internal teams and multiple suppliers.
Clear English communication (spoken and written). Knowledge of Dutch and/or German is a strong plus.

Preferred:  

Experience with high‑throughput parcel sortation systems (e.g., cross‑belt, tilt‑tray, shoe sorter technologies).
Hands‑on involvement in FAT, SAT or on‑site commissioning phases.
Familiarity with controls, PLC‑based systems, IT infrastructure or SCADA environments.
