Job Description
As a Production Planning Specialist you will join our client’s team on a temporary basis. This role involves managing short-term production planning, ensuring optimal product availability, and collaborating across functions to resolve supply and demand issues during a period of parental leave.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain accurate production plans and communicate them effectively to factory schedulers.
- Manage finished goods availability within the assigned supply network, adjusting plans based on market needs and stock levels.
- Handle all short‑term supply and demand exceptions (0‑12 weeks), performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with material planners and factory teams to address capacity shortages and material supply challenges.
- Evaluate the impact of material issues on the short‑term production plan and engage escalation as needed.
- Run scenario planning and adjust production schedules to balance demand and supply constraints, including product expiry, inventory levels, and priorities.
- Monitor service levels and inventory health, executing replenishments and rebalancing stock across warehouses to improve customer service and reduce waste.
- Participate in decision‑making for inventory movements and non‑performing stock.
- Lead root cause analyses regarding supply issues, such as case fill rate and product availability, and develop preventative actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in planning processes and key performance metrics.
- Maintain accurate master data related to products, production, and supply network within systems.
- Provide backup support for fellow planners on leave or during busy periods.
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Supply Chain or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant supply chain planning experience.
- Fluent in English;
Dutch language skills are a plus. - Strong analytical skills, customer‑focused approach, and adaptability to changing priorities.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week with at least 2 days onsite in Veghel, with Wednesdays mandatory onsite.
