Job Description: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Innovation R&D Innovation Technician to support the company's product development activities. This role involves working closely with the R&D team to create prototypes, conduct trials, and manage samples, all while ensuring strict adherence to quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Develop rapid prototypes of products and packaging to assist in launching new innovations and concepts.
  • Support product and packaging developers by preparing samples in the development kitchen and pilot plant.
  • Ensure all prototypes meet global standards, including good manufacturing practices, HACCP, and quality management protocols.
  • Assist with pilot scale trials alongside the pilot plant team.
  • Conduct laboratory tests for products during development phases.
  • Coordinate with external partners for nutrition analysis and other testing.
  • Lead and oversee shelf-life studies.
  • Manage logistics for international sample sharing and benchmarking activities.
  • Establish and maintain a global network for product ordering, tastings, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Organize quarterly competitor tastings and support global R&D meetings with product showcases.
Requirements
  • BSc in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English;
    Dutch is a plus.
  • Some experience working in a pilot plant environment is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and take initiative.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • Understanding of quality standards and manufacturing principles.
  • Physical ability to walk around the plant, work on multiple levels, stand for prolonged periods, and lift up to 25kg.
  • Willingness to travel daily to the Oud‑Beijerland plant.
  • Ambition to grow within the product development field.
