Making & printing digital photo collages for our elderly every week
Our residents with a faltering brain could use some extra support. This can be in the form of small collages with photos that we (the healthcare provider) have taken.
We have tried to give our residents more guidance by making a printout of recent photos. We then make a small collage out of it. Residents find this incredibly fun to see, it makes them happy and it gives them a clearer sense of what they have done recently. The image brings back the memories.
The photos all come from Familienet. This is a medium on which all photos taken during activities are collected. From this medium we collect photos from which we make a collage.
Are you good with computers, do you enjoy making digital photo collages and making people very happy? Then come by and get acquainted!
You will be guided by welfare employee Aafje Witzel.
De Molenweid is a small-scale residential community right next to the centre of Velserbroek. We have 30 elderly people with a disability in the area of dementia or physical complaints living with us. The house is spacious and has 2 beautiful gardens where we like to sit with the residents. It is important to us that the residents can live as much as possible as they would ryone involved in De Molenweid is busy every day with creating meaningful activities for our residents.
We cook for our residents every day, often with support from the residents themselves. Other regularly recurring activities are gymnastics, dancing, creative afternoon, live music, bus trips, singing, walking, tandem cycling and much more.
