Senior Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our fast-paced, dynamic plumbing, fire sprinkler and electrical company located in Venice, Florida. The Senior Accountant should have a background in the construction industry. The position is Monday-Friday, Full-time, on-site based in the United States.

• Strong understanding of GAAP, percentage of completion accounting and billing, and job costing
• Experience in preparing and analyzing financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements)
• Skilled in developing and managing budgets, WIP (Work-in-Progress) schedules, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards
• Proficient in maintaining and reconciling general and sub-ledger accounts for accuracy and completeness
• In-depth knowledge of payroll processing, reporting, recording and job costing
• Familiarity with inventory management practices, controls and adjustments
• Capable of reviewing and resolving mis-postings and ensuring transactional accuracy
• Contributes to month & year-end close, including support for external and internal audits
• Monitors cash flow, forecasts financial needs, and provides strategic financial guidance
• Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to management
• Participates in the development and implementation of new or improved accounting systems, programs and procedures
• Supports the establishment and enforcement of internal controls to safeguard company assets

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in the construction/Manufacturing Industry
• Bachelor's degree preferred or a combination of education and experience
• Public accounting experience is helpful but not required
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and construction accounting principles
• Proficiency in ERP systems (Computer Ease)
• Advanced Excel, financial modeling, and automation skills
