This is a temporary position that will begin on February 23, 2026.

This temporary position processes customer transactions for a variety of routine to more complex financial transactions, including but not limited to check cashing, account withdrawals and deposits. The role balances cash drawers, assists customers with product line information, provides a quality customer experience, and identifies and refers sales opportunities to appropriate bank personnel to meet individual and department goals. The teller consistently gains the confidence and trust of others through honesty, integrity, and authenticity.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Relationship Building
    • Prepare for various customer interactions.
    • Build rapport with customers.
    • Effectively use and document open and closed-ended questions to understand customer financial goals.
    • Match customer needs to Seacoast Bank products and services.
    • Confidently and proficiently explain Seacoast Bank products and services.
    • Prove ability to create and enhance relationships based on customer needs.
    • Ask for referrals from new and existing customers.
    • Exhibit good listening skills and speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations.
  • Respond promptly to customer needs and requests for service.
  • Quickly seek appropriate assistance for complex financial matters.
  • Balance business needs with customer requests while managing potential risk to the bank.
  • Embrace new technology and stay up-to-date on industry changes to foster an environment of idea generation and innovation.
  • Participate in community, charitable, or civic events.
  • Show strong work ethics and teamwork, collaborating with other associates within the branch and across the organization.
  • Develop an introductory understanding of consumer deposit and lending products and processes.
  • Develop proficiencies in outbound calling process.
  • Identify referral opportunities with internal business partners.
  • Observe presentations regarding banking products/services through networking events.
  • Develop a strong understanding of customer-facing technology and enroll customers in self-service products and processes.
OPERATIONS
  • Process checks, cash, and negotiable instrument transactions while adhering to bank policies and procedures.
  • Ensure branch adherence to AML/BSA requirements (Currency Transaction Reports, Suspect Activity Form, etc.), audit procedures, operational procedures, dual control, security, business continuity, and other regulated banking requirements.
  • Proactively resolve customer concerns in a timely, professional, and positive manner, escalating issues as needed.
  • Balance cash drawer daily and monitor own work for accuracy.
  • Follow instructions and respond to management direction to resolve difficult customer objections, solving problems in a timely and positive manner to retain customer relationships.
  • Adhere to Seacoast Bank’s Code of Conduct.
  • Follow all safety and security procedures.
  • May be assigned vault responsibilities.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 6 months cash handling experience required.
  • Minimum of 6 months previous experience in retail sales and/or financial services preferred.
  • Flexible schedule required with ability to work during hours of operations, including weekends and occasional non-bank operational hours.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and exercise a high degree of initiative.
  • PC proficiency in desktop, laptop, tablet, and smartphone devices, as well as Microsoft Office Suite software.
