Job Description

• The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the company to patients who arrive for routine health services or important diagnostic procedures.
• The PSR I greets patients, answers questions with care and compassion, maintains the integrity of the waiting area, and assists with workflow when Phlebotomists are unavailable.
• This role includes training opportunities in Phlebotomy for growth within the company.
• The PSR I creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence, ensuring patients understand what to expect while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.

• Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
• Maintain a safe and professional environment.
• Maintain required records and documentation.
• Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
• Assist patients with check-ins using self-service kiosks or handheld tablets.
• Learn Phlebotomy skills to support team needs during downtimes or breaks.
• Once trained, perform clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing following established procedures.

• Ability to handle patients with care and compassion.
• Strong customer service experience and skills (critical to the role).
• Willingness to learn Phlebotomy skills.
• Ability to maintain professionalism and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.

• Prior experience in healthcare or patient-facing roles (not required).
• Early exposure to clinical environments or medical office workflows.

• Customer service.
• Patient interaction and communication.
• Data entry and basic computer proficiency.
• Willingness to learn Phlebotomy procedures.

• High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
• 1–2 years of client-facing customer service experience (Retail, Home Health Aide, etc.) required.
• No prior Phlebotomy experience required.
