Phlebotomy Technician II PRN

This position is responsible for performing all duties of Phlebotomist Tech II including routine blood collection on all age groups including neonates and infants. In addition, demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to function in specimen processing and receiving area of the Laboratory. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients in assigned area.

Demonstrates competency in registration of patients and specimens.

• One (1) year of phlebotomy experience with all age groups
• Phlebotomy certification with a national agency, kept current and active

• Demonstrated ability to interact successfully with patients, staff and other healthcare providers
• Demonstrated ability to handle customer service questions and effective communication skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of all relevant computer skills as needed for patient m and specimen processing functions

High School Diploma, GED or Certificate

Valid Driver's License (FDL)

Urgent care centers are open 7 days a week, 8am-8pm. Evenings, weekends and holidays are required. Shifts can vary from 8-hour to 10 and 12-hour shifts. Flexibility to work at all 7 urgent care locations is also required; schedule location preferences will be taken into consideration.
