The Urgent Care Medical Assistant assists in the management of patient care and coordinates patient flow to ensure care is delivered safely, effectively, and efficiently, while providing direct and indirect assistance to the patient and physician, and serving as a liaison between the facility, physician, insurance company and other healthcare agencies.

• Current/active Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant credential.

• Minimum of one (1) year clinical experience in an Urgent Care Center or Ambulatory/Outpatient setting.
• Demonstrated computer literacy with Windows-based programs.
• Effective communication skills and ability to handle difficult customers or situations.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Previous college or vocational training.
• Ability to multi‑task, prioritize duties and demonstrate initiative and self‑direction.

BLS:
Basic Life Support/CPR

Shift work: 7 days a week, 8am‑8pm; evenings, weekends, holidays; 8, 10, 12 hour shifts; flexibility at all 7 urgent care locations; schedule location preferences taken into consideration.
