Hospital Valet Attendant - Mon-Fri 6a-2p

Job Details- Compensation: $10.98 per hour base pay plus $6–$7 per hour in tips.
- Work Schedule: Mon‑Fri 6:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
- Benefits: Eligible for accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, and telemedicine insurance; 401(k) plan. Seasonal and temporary roles are not eligible. Eligibility depends on classification, length of employment and hours worked.
The Guest Service Associate is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly and efficient manner. This includes parking and retrieving guest vehicles, assisting with luggage, and ensuring a prompt yet safe experience.
Essential Functions- Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, co‑workers, and clients, acknowledging and greeting guests within five feet. Uses guest last names during interactions. (25%)
- Use salutations of the day, welcome guests, practice proper phone etiquette, and post in designated areas when not completing tasks. (10%)
- Park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously; assist guests with belt services and luggage storage as needed; open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests. (20%)
- Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and other inquiries; provide information about outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, and local attractions; deliver messages, items, or guest amenities as requested; shuttle guests to approved locations. (10%)
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures; issue claim checks after receiving keys and collect them before issuing keys; complete and maintain all ticket information; calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed. (35%)
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state in which you are applying or within a commutable distance.
- One month related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
- Read and write standard English.
- Read and comprehend simple instructions and short correspondence.
- Write simple correspondence.
- Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to guests, clients, and employees.
- Add, subtract, and multiply/divide using American monetary units.
- Understand 24‑hour and military time systems.
- Understand rates applicable to time passed.
- Operate a manual transmission (highly desirable).
- Perform parallel parking.
- The job is fairly routine. Incumbent follows established practices and procedures, with specific directions and frequent inspections. Decisions are made within departmental guidelines.
- Control over available resources only.
Workers must regularly talk or hear, sit or stand for extended periods, and may run, walk, handle tools, reach, climb stairs, and balance. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth, and focus adjustment.
Lifting RequirementsOccasional exertion up to 100 lb, frequent up to 50 lb, constant up to 20 lb.
Working EnvironmentWork is largely outdoors for extended periods, exposed to extreme heat and cold; protective equipment may be provided.
TravelTravel up to 5% may be required.
